The Village Hall and Playing Field

The Village Hall and Playing field are owned by the village and have charitable status.
A management committee supervises accounts and maintenance.
Costs are covered by hire charges, fundraising and grants.

The Village Hall is situated at the top corner of the playing field.
Vehicular access is from Broadclose Way.

The playing field and the children's play area are open to all;
no dogs are allowed for health reasons.
(This also applies to Stocks Green situated opposite the telephone box and
which is seperately maintained by the Parish Council

Village Hall hire charges 2007

Village Meetings £10

Evening Functions (village) £25

Evening Functions (outsiders) £40

Half day Functions (village) £20

Hourly charge - Afternoon 1pm - 6pm £8 per hour
Hourly charge - Evening 6pm - 11pm £10 per hour

Local Authority all day incl heating & lighting £100

Pre-school per session £6

Cubs, Beavers etc per session £3.50

Youth Club per session £3.50

Table Tennis & Whist per session £7.50

Hall for teas in conjunction with field £4

Football - Village team (field & changing rooms) £20 + £3

Football - Visiting teams (field & changing rooms) £25 + £3.50

Heating and Lighting in the Hall are metered at cost; £1 coins for gas heating and
50p coins for electricity.
In the Changing Rooms, gas for hot water also requires £1 coins.

Playing Field hire charges

Hockey (local team) £16

Football (local team) £18

Football (outsiders) £23

All the above assume the club concerned marks out the pitch
