YOUR Views are Important to the Successful Production of
Our Parish Plan

Each plan is unique to its community and to be considered effective it must
be capable of leading to 'actions'.

With the active participation of villagers, the committee will strive to
produce such a plan.

The content of the plan depends upon us identifying
current trends and concerns and finding out the issues
that matter most to village residents. We will identify what the
village is like now and how its residents
would like it to be in the future.

In October 2007 the Parish Plan Committee was convened
as an advisory group to the Parish Council.
The eight members range in age from 28 to over 80, two are Parish
Councillors and all aim to represent the interests of the whole village
community. During 2007 there were several requests in Village
Newsletters asking for people to help in the production of a Parish Plan.
All those who responded then, and later at the time of the first
questionnaire, are now members of the advisory group.
As the work of compiling a plan progresses, the committee wants to co-opt
people to help with particular projects.
The creation of  the web-site is a good example of a project that is
developing successfully.
The views of young people are being actively sought and anyone who is
interested in contributing is invited to join a working group
.
Contact Sue [850612] or Nicky [850200] to find out more.

If you feel that a section of the village is under-represented, have suggestions
for further projects and would like to offer help to develop them please
contact Janet on 850517, any Parish Councillor or any Parish Plan
committee member.

Committee members will be talking to different age groups
of people and hoping to note positive messages as well as concerns.
and ideas. We now have eight committee members.
We are actively seeking input from the youth of the village.

Please let us know about any skills you can offer.
If you have any old or particularly interesting photographs
or records of the village please look them out - they will be treated
with the greatest care if you are willing to entrust them to us.
As we consider how the village might develop in the future we need
to take a nostalgic but realistic look at how it evolved in the past
and we plan a social event In April to display our findings.
